Build: Hidden Underground Library Build. A patch of grass in a suburban
backyard opens via a brass handle into a luxury emerald library with marble
floors, a brass ladder, and a leather reading chair. Wanted it to feel like
a real luxury home moment, not just an AI flex.
Tools used: Nano Banana (Gemini) for the still frames, Kling ai
for the animation clips, and DaVinci Resolve for the edit. Shoutout to
for sorting out both my red flash issue and the missing transitions, the trim-and-rejoin
Prompt/workflow: Reference-stacked every frame off a master location image
and a worker team portrait to keep the characters and the house consistent
across the dig, the panel install, the marble laying, and the night reveal.
One image per beat, animated in Kling, then layered into DaVinci with
crossfades for the build progression. No music, just diegetic work sounds
and ambient air.
Pain point: Two big ones. The wide dig shot kept coming out small and
closet-sized, took several reference stacks to get a proper underground
chamber that read as tunnel-deep. And the final night reveal frame, where
you see the house with the library glowing underneath, took multiple
regenerations because Kling kept losing the library or changing the house
entirely. Ended up simplifying the camera motion which fixed it.
What I'm trying to improve: I know there's still room for improvement. The
opening 1-2 seconds need a stronger hook, i think i should have opened on
the brass handle close-up instead of the wide aerial. The final reveal
could also hold longer, mine cuts away in under 2 seconds and the
references i studied hold theirs for 3 to 4. The work sounds need to come
up louder in the mix too.
DISCLAIMER: Video 1 didn't really do much(i expected that) but I've only posted Video 2 few mins ago and I'm getting some interesting numbers already
