Hi everyone,
Fancy a very small crafty challenge this week?
Choose just one colour and try using it in three different ways. You could make:
• a transparent version
• an opaque version
• a sparkly, pearly or metallic version
You don’t need to make a finished project. A few little test pieces, spare bezels or small moulds are absolutely fine — this is about experimenting without the pressure of having to create a masterpiece!
If you can, make a quick note of:
• which resin you used
• which colourant you added
• roughly how much you used
• what worked well
• what you would change next time
Keeping simple colour notes like these can save an awful lot of guesswork later, especially when you create a shade you love and then can’t remember how on earth you made it. We’ve all done that one!
Please share a photo of your three versions below, even if one of them didn’t quite behave. The less successful tests are often the ones we learn the most from — and somebody else may be able to help work out what happened.
I’m looking forward to seeing what you choose. 💜
