Why I Am Starting This Group
I am a huge follower of Jesus, and I have always felt a very deep connection to God. In 2019, I was in a thrift store with my sister, and I picked up the book A Course in Miracles. Having heard about it before, I decided to buy it and see what it was about. I started reading it, and I could not put it down. I read it in any free time I could find. I read it for hours and hours in a sitting. I first read through the text, trying to see if it conflicted with what I believe as a Christian. I did not really find anything in the text that conflicted with Christianity. What I did find was a deeply loving and profound book that, in my opinion, had to be Divinely written. The author of this book knew more about me than I knew myself. The wisdom in it was like nothing I had ever read. The entire book discusses the importance of depending on God, listening to the Holy Spirit, and how important it is to love others. Loving others is loving yourself. To me, this book explained some of Jesus's teachings in more depth than I had ever read before. I feel like those who think A Course in Miracles conflicts with Christianity have not actually read it. I have created this community because it has been very hard for me to find Christians who openly love A Course in Miracles. We will go over some of the concepts in the book and how beautifully they can help us understand how to live like Jesus lived. Please join me, and let's see where this journey takes us.

Today, treat any sudden softening of judgment, any unexpected impulse of generosity, any nudge to forgive, as that Voice speaking. Follow at least one of those nudges before bedtime. “I am entrusted with the gifts of God.” — Workbook Lesson 166 Your kindness, your insight, your patience — these are not personal possessions; they are gifts entrusted to you for the benefit of others. Today, look at one of your strengths and ask, "Who needs this from me today?" Then give it freely, without keeping score. When you treat your gifts as entrusted rather than earned, you naturally start treating other people the same way. Their worth is not what they produce; it is what they were given. Whose worth did I see more clearly today, and how did that change the way I responded?

“My mind holds only what I think with God.” — Workbook Lesson 45 What you think with God is loving, honoring, and clear. Everything else is a passing cloud. Today, before you respond to a difficult email or message, take three breaths and ask, "What would I think with God about this person right now?" The answer will almost always include their inestimable worth, even when their behavior was poor. Respond from there. “Love created me like Himself.” — Workbook Lesson 67 If Love created you, then Love is your nature — not something you must produce on a tired afternoon. The same is true of every person. Today, choose one interaction where you would normally feel pressured to perform kindness, and instead let kindness simply extend from what you already are. Inestimable worth is not an achievement; it is an inheritance you share with everyone you meet.
