EASY HOW TO PLAY: Somewhere Over The Rainbow
It’s a CLASSIC, I won’t hear anything else said of this one. 😌 I remember first learning this shortly after I started learning the cello, purely because I was obsessed with Wizard of Oz at the time. When it goes from black and white, to colour? My tiny mind was BLOWN. Hahahah! As per usual I have some sheet music if you’d like, and I can do the full version to add to the Let’s Play Cello Classroom if you want more! (And let me know if you have any requests for the Easy How To Play series 🤩)

So This Is Love - Cinderella
This is such a sweet little tune to play, and if you add in some gentle slides between some of the notes, you can really capture how it's sung in the Disney movie. This is a VERY simplified version, making it lovely for a quick-learn show piece, and just memorisable enough for you to perform when someone says "play us a tune!" :D Nothing complex, straightforward rhythms, and easy range. Enjoy!

(eeeeeep!!) Yes I know I said “flying theme” - I do love this SO MUCH, but there’s sooooo many outtakes because I kept getting overexcited LOL. Anyway I’ve simplified it as much as possible, and if you DO want the sheet music, it’s in Sheet Music Downloads!

Trying to learn Bach on cello but the sheet music is overwhelming, or maybe you just don’t read sheet music? Just want the basics so you can get on and play?
