I’m Haroon, master perfumer at Scent Salim and creator of the signature Pink Oud. My journey in perfumery has taken me across the world, working with some of the biggest Arabian fragrance houses such as Ajmal, Anfar and Reef—gaining experience in both retail strategy and full-scale production. I’ve travelled from Oman to Turkey, India and Saudi Arabia to source the finest raw materials: Omani Frankincense, Turkish Lavender, Indian Oud and the legendary Taif Rose. These global influences have shaped my ability to create fragrances with true Middle Eastern longevity and depth, balanced with the refined, modern elegance of Western perfumery. Based in the UK, I sit between these two worlds, allowing me to craft unique, blends. I run perfume workshops and a create-your-own-fragrance program in our Leeds store, guiding clients through the art of scent creation. Now, I’m launching a classroom and virtual course to share my expertise, offering a complete, immersive learning experience.
