Happy Friday!
I’m sat in my car in torrential rain, and I’m thinking this would be a great opportunity to model language: ‘it’s so noisy!’ ‘Look at the rain!’ ‘It’s all wet!’.
Things or events that are out of the ordinary are great topics to talk about: we add interest and emotion into our voices naturally and this helps children tune into our messages.
Find something new or of interest to talk about with your child this weekend.
