Play The Shot You Chose
The Control Dashboard
(Strategy, Distance, & Mapping)
Verify the Distance
Check your rangefinder or visual markers to lock in the yardage.
Elevation
Target high? Club up. Target low? Club down.
Target Zone & Bag Mapping
Know your specific gaps. Select the club that reaches the target zone with the smallest dispersion.
The Proximity Principle
The closer you get to the hole, the closer your feet become in your setup. (Full swing = Wide/Stable base; Quarter/Half swing = Narrow/Precise base).
Weight-Trajectory
Low/Controlled (Stingers/Bump & Run):
Weight forward (60/40) and hold it.
High/Distance (Full/Driver)
Transfer weight (back to forward).
Driver
Add spine tilt (away from target) and hit up on the ball.
The Protocol of Discipline (Execution)
Line of Sight & The Gate
Stand behind to pick your line. Pick a "gate" (leaf/mark) 6–12 inches ahead. The ball is an obstacle; clear the gate.
The Ritual (Cap at 2)
Max 2 practice swings. Find the "flush point." If you don't feel it, reset.
Grip Pressure
3 or 4 out of 10. Tight hands = tight swing.
The Engine
Quarter/Half/Full Swing
Focus on tempo. Rotate, don't force. Keep the lead heel down.
The Quarter Swing (The Artist's Tool)
Used for delicate touch, spin control, and tight lies. It’s the "feel" aspect of the Engine.
The Half Swing (The Precision Tool)
Used for approach control. It limits dispersion and keeps the ball under the wind.
The Full Swing (The Power Tool)
Used when the Target Zone demands full compression and maximum distance.
Putting (The Read)
Stand behind, look at the hole to visualize the break. Focus on MPH (3–7). Hit up for a true roll.
The Strike & Hold
Swing through the gate.
Count to three.
Finish on your lead foot, with the trail knee connected to the lead knee, both pointing toward the target, and the trail foot on its toe.
Hold the pose until the ball lands. If your knees aren't connected and pointing forward, the rotation is incomplete.
