Metallic epoxy

Hey everyone I just recently finished my first epoxy floor job but had a couple questions. I didn’t sand down my base coat because I wanted the black to show a little which I’m not sure if that is fine or not but is it better to sand down the base coat no matter what? Also when I applied the polyaspartic top coat there was some lines that popped up after spreading with the squeegee and I tried backfilling it but the coat was too sticky so it made it look worse. For next time how would I remove those lines?
