This incredible creature not only has the power to make you regret your eating choices, but he also has one of the most beautiful artistic talents I've ever seen.

The male white-spotted pufferfish is only about four inches long, but he creates an underwater masterpiece that can stretch more than six feet across. Using his fins and body, he spends days carefully sculpting the sand into an elaborate circular design to impress the ladies. He creates beautiful ridges and valleys, then adds a few finishing touches with shells. Talk about attention to detail.

His creation reminds me of a beautiful mandala, with a web of life at the center. I would have this little guy's artwork in every room of my house!

And his masterpiece serves another beautiful purpose. When a female is impressed enough to choose him, she lays her eggs in the center of his creation. After she leaves, Dad stays behind to guard their developing babies until they hatch.

Imagine creating something so beautiful to attract love, only to have that creation become the beginning of new life. This little artistic decorator certainly has my heart!
