Good morning! I'm live now and today's task is hanging up clothes and clearing out the nursery. what are you up to?

Greeting all who may happen upon my page! I have spent the last decade making resolutions around this time that I can't seem to stick to past 6 months, so I won't be pressuring anyone about their own. This year, I will be testing a theory that I've had for quite a while. I have previously believed that if I just forced myself long enough, the good habits that I need to be a functioning adult would become second nature at some point. For some people, the 21 day rule, or just doing it anyway, creates a sense of predictability and satisfaction that enables them to settle into good patterns that will last them a lifetime. That never happened for me. the longest I have made it just forcing my way into having good habits is six months this past year. I could continue beating myself up and calling myself lazy, or telling myself I just don't care enough but that's just not true.The truth is I need a different approach to completing the menial day to day tasks of life because for me, completing a task on it's own does not hold enough satisfaction for me to the do it over and over. More often than not completing a task only offers me the relief of having one less thing to think about for a little while. When I look back on the times I was most successful at the disciplines that I believe create a well rounded and fulfilling life, I was doing things in the company of others. I know it seems simplistic and obvious but many hands do make light work for me! This skool is my way of attempting to meet that need for companionship during daily labor in myself and others a way that is accessible to many, and is a small enough commitment that it doesn't feel overwhelming.
