I’m so glad you’re here. 🙏 Come Back to Your Mat is a space created for guidance, reconnecting, and returning to yourself — finding ease again in your body and your mind. This isn’t a place to perform, keep up, or be “good” at anything. It’s a place to arrive exactly as you are. Some days that might look like movement, some days it might look like rest, reflection, or simply being present. You are not alone.... we are very much in this beautiful journey together. Inside this community you’ll find gentle yoga and embodied practices, reflections, holistic nutrition and wellbeing guidance, and a place to be supported as you reconnect with yourself — at your own pace. There’s no expectation to show up perfectly. Just showing up is enough. Showing up here IS the practice. Showing up is just like unrolling your mat. The start of great self habits again. The beginning of a return to yourself 🧡. You’re welcome to observe, participate, rest, share, or simply just BE and breath. There’s no pressure to engage in any particular way. Take what you need, leave what you don’t, and trust your own rhythm. We are in this together. Maaann bare with me as I am learning how everything is working on here and finding my flow with you all. The first few seconds have no sound but I get it sorted eventually :) Just showing up, on here, on my mat, to have a little chat about my thoughts for this space. A quick question: Do you prefer written posts or brief video posts?

Gentle Awareness
This week I want to bring our awareness on the big O! The OVERWHELM!!! When stress is chronic, and overwhelm takes over, our motivation drops, food feels confusing and our nervous system is begging for a sense of safety, Let's take a big deep breath before we dive into anything. Go on, do it with me. Big breath IN threw the nose...... let your belly expand....... and big breath OUT threw the mouth. Let it all out.... Repeat 3-5 times..... Go on. Please do it. Now breath in and out threw your nose only, letting the belly expand and contract naturally. And with each breath, tell yourself, I AM SAFE. I AM SAFE..... I AM SAFE. Slow your exhalation and feel your nervous system slowly calm down. Beautiful! This week, we bring our awareness on the breath and start to notice how powerful this simple technic can work on our overwhelm.
