Understanding Autism
It’s a different operating system. Not broken. Not a virus. Just built differently. You wouldn’t expect a Mac to run PC programs and then get mad when it doesn’t. Would you? You’d figure out how it works. You’d look it up. You’d ask for help. You'd ask for training. Same thing here. The problem isn’t the system…it’s that nobody handed us the manual. So now we learn it. Piece by piece. Together.

Fat Brain Toys Air Toobz. I Kinda Love This Thing!
I bought this for the kids myself. This isn’t sponsored or anything, and honestly… I love it. It actually keeps their attention. Like real attention, not the kind where they walk away after two minutes. They go back to it, mess around with it, figure things out… it gets used. That alone is a win. < I'm logging this one in the app! My only issue, and it’s a small one, but it bugs me… The connectors. They’re plastic, so when the tubes get moved around (which they will), they can loosen and pop out. It’s not constant, but it happens enough that you notice it. If those connectors were rubber? This would be a 5 star for me, no question. But overall… it’s one of the few things I’ve bought that actually gets used and doesn’t just sit there. The only place I have found it was on Amazon under Fat Brain Toys and it was $199.99.

Fat Brain Toys Air Toobz. I Kinda Love This Thing!
“What just happened?”
There’s a moment… Usually after everything settles. The noise stops. It's calm again. And you’re just sitting there thinking… “What just happened?” You're not angry. You're not even upset. Just… confused. Because it didn’t make sense. Maybe it was a meltdown that came out of nowhere. Maybe something small threw everything off. Maybe they didn’t respond when you know they heard you. And now you’re trying to replay it in your head… But everyone around you keeps telling you: “They’re fine.” “They’ll grow out of it.” “You’re overthinking it.” But you’re not... You’re noticing... And that feeling? That quiet something’s not adding up feeling… I know it. I live it every day with autistic twins. That space where nothing quite connects yet, but you know there’s something there. Here’s what nobody explains: Those moments that don’t make sense…they usually do have a pattern. And the things that feel confusing right now… are often connected to strengths you haven’t been shown how to see yet. That’s what I help you do here. Not guess. Not panic. Just understand. What you’re seeing. What it might mean. What your child could be trying to communicate. So talk to me.... I got you! Tell me one moment that didn’t make sense and give me all the small details you remember. Tell me one special moment that you see as a "little win" I’ll help you figure it out.
