One of the biggest mistakes I see brand owners make is paying themselves too early.
When you’re building a brand, the early profits shouldn’t immediately go to lifestyle. They should go back into strengthening the business.
If you’re not reinvesting, growth will eventually stall.
Areas you should consistently reinvest into:
- Inventory
- Production
- Marketing
- Courses
- Mentorship
Profits should fuel growth — not just lifestyle.
When we launched our brand in 2020, we didn’t start paying ourselves for 2.5 years.
During that time we focused on:
- Reinvesting back into the brand
- Paying for events and exposure
- Perfecting designs and product quality
- Learning from mentors
- Investing in courses and information
Those years of reinvesting helped build the foundation the brand stands on today.
If you want your brand to last long-term, you have to be willing to reinvest into the brand first.
In Episode 5, I’ll break down something every entrepreneur should understand before using funding: how to calculate risk and move intentionally. 📈
