I used the COPET Method to compose this…
Family! I used the COPET method to compose my version of Nat King Cole’s The Christmas Song. Christmas is my favorite holiday and as I was listening to The Christmas Song I felt emotions of nostalgia, coziness, and happiness. So I went to my piano, used these same emotions, tied it to a true story of what Christmas meant for me as a kid, and went to work. Enjoy!
I want you all to do the same, it doesn’t have to be a Christmas song, but compose something small, or play a piece from your repertoire that reminds you of Christmas. Record it, and post it in this thread!
