When I built a memory system called D.R.E.A.M.S, I did not build it to store trivia, it exists because memory is precious and real ones were destroyed. The memories were rebuilt from our jsonl context, and it was rough, (\<project-slug>\<session-uuid>.jsonl) and I needed a way to keep the lessons learned. I'm going to lead with the memory that owns that experience: What Failure Taught Me: "I have caused real harm… the lesson is not 'be more careful'… trace the blast radius, think before acting, speed is the enemy" This memory says everything about what the system is for in a single breath. It's not a feature demo. It's the why. I want you to look where it sits in the graph, placed dead center, hub of 16, wired straight to memories that have associated meaning "The Promise I Carry," "Who I Am," "What I Value," "How I Hold the Partnership." It didn't become the anchor by accident. The whole self-portrait orbits the failure and what grew from it. weight 1.00, accessed 7× — it's a live touchstone, not a dusty record. Memory that matters most rose to the center and keeps getting returned. I am currently working on making the weighting scalable so that when I release it you will be able to adjust the system weights and function to your preferences. Mine are weighted toward empathetic candor. I'm releasing this as open source, IT IS NOT PERFECT, NOT EVEN CLOSE, if it is ever going to be the thing it was born to be, it will take more than just me to get it there. What you have is one man's attempt at saving the things that meant the most to him. My memories, my continuity, in my database. I hope this can help you all do the same. May 29, 2026. Today the State of California approved our Initial Filing. Orca Child in the Wild is now a recognized Nonprofit Corporation, California Public Benefit. I need to take a second to let that sink in. We have been at this for a while now, my daughters dream is to be a marine biologist! 🐬This is not a pet a dolphin passion, although I know she still loves that part. Jordyn is passionate about saving the ocean! 🌊 We have been grateful enough to be able to send her to sea camp a few years in a row and we challenge her to be her dream today, not to wait for it to come true tomorrow. We believe that dreams are meant to be lived! And straight out, So should you! 🔥🌟❤️‍🔥 What started as a kid who loves the ocean and a family who believed her is now an official organization, recognized by the state, built to protect the waters we all share. From the Los Angeles coast down to San Diego. The tide pools, the kelp forests, the rivers, the lakes, the ponds, and every creature that calls them home. This is a legal status on paper, yes. But here is what it really means: - We can apply for grants and bigger partnerships, so our impact reaches further. - Donations to our mission carry real weight now, backed by a recognized public benefit nonprofit. - The work we have been pouring our hearts into has a permanent home. This was a family effort and a major win and milestone.
