Wins of the Week - Thanks y'all for your help!
Hey y'all, hope all is going well! I just wanted to share some wins based on the community's feedback! - I started posting and commenting more frequently on LinkedIn and from it, I've had increased post engagement; convos and intros to others in my DMs - I just got a text from someone saying they wrote a LinkedIn recommendation for me. I never asked and they just did it out of their own resolve, omg! 🥹 - Without asking, someone reached out offering me a FREE ticket to an HR conference this week! It's a $400 ticket and I'm getting it for FREE!!! 🫢🥹 I don't have any updates on the my job search pipeline, but I'm actually more excited and hopeful about my community showing up for me, and how I can better show up for others. 💕🙏Thanks everyone!! 💖
2 Big Wins this week!
1. After multiple months of persistence and several follow-ups, I have finally got accepted as a Volunteer in North America's Biggest Renewable Energy conference happening in Fall 2025. 2.I have finalized my Biggest Renewable Energy guest for my podcast show, with whom I am recording an episode next week. This guest interviews all the CEOs of top Renewable Energy companies in North America. With all this positivity, it motivates me to keep pushing and the right job opportunity in the right company will come soon! A Big Thank You to Izzy and the community members!
Accepted an Offer!
Hey everyone! After about 2 months of interviewing I finally accepted a new role! It’s crazy how this process has shown me what my true values are and the potential for my career. I was so on the fence about this job because it felt like a lateral move but the company and role have shown me that my growth opportunities are so much greater than my current job. Thanks for all the support and question answering, particularly @Tamara Gordon @Mifraz Ghouse and @Arjun Chowdhury when I was weighing the pros and cons.
Big May Wins!
May was full of quiet grit and loud wins. Let’s celebrate the members who kept showing up—for themselves and for each other 💫 @Brittani Ball Landed a role that beautifully ties together her love for music and her degree. But it wasn’t just about the role. She negotiated her way to the top of the salary band—and then some. That confidence? Built by showing up again and again, even when it felt uncertain. @Cheryl Dias Secured a role at Manulife. This wasn’t luck—it was work. She went to every event, reached out, followed up, supported others. She built her opportunity by being visible and being valuable to the people around her. @Mifraz Ghouse Finally broke through after a long job search. The financial pressure was mounting. But he didn’t disappear. He kept engaging. Kept applying. Kept believing. And that consistency paid off—with a role that marks a real turning point. [ANONYMOUS] And then there’s one member (they’ve asked to stay anonymous)... They’re in the final stages of an interview process that could increase their salary by at least $30K. It could even go past $100K. They’ve been showing up day after day—laying the groundwork for this exact moment. Let’s send them some love ❤️ None of these wins happened overnight. But all of them happened because someone refused to give up. If you're still in the middle of it—keep going. Your win might be closer than you think. P.S. Which of these stories hit home for you?
