Uncertain about job path
Hi all!
So, I've been going for the UX designer role for over a year and a half and I just feel like I'm going in circles. I am working on a data analytics cert on the side to make me a more well-rounded candidate but I'm not sure it's helpful. I haven't had an interview in a long time either. I don't know if my resume is trash, my portfolio or what it is. I am financially distraught and I feel like a jack of all trades but a master of none. I am an ex software engineer but I've taken such a long break from it, I really don't want to pursue it again (didn't have a great experience as one). I also have a business administration degree and when I apply to those roles I never hear back. I'm also ok with business or data analytics but my resume is kicked faster than I can apply. All I want is a foot in the door yet I am not allowed entry right now. Anyone have suggestions?
