Found my "Aha" moment!
Hi all, I have been inactive for a few weeks, as I was taking some time off to ponder over things and self-discover. I am a Product Manager, currently working in the Energy sector in Alberta and my current goal is to look for a new company that is more fulfilling.
Izzy inspired me to start a Podcast as a more effective form of doing informational interviews and relationship building with companies. Starting a Podcast has although very much pushed me out of my comfort zone, it has inevitably yielded in my growth. I have done 6 guest interviews thus far and plan to bring guests till end of 2024 in my Podcast show (A commitment I made to myself).
What is my "Aha" moment?
A recent guest interview made me think and realize that for the last few years, I was chasing a role that deep down inside I truly and genuinely was not passionate about (Digital Product Management). I was trying to live someone else's dream and it was bringing tremendous amount of pressure and unhappiness in my life.
I discovered that I have always loved learning, growing and passing on my knowledge to others and helping others, i.e. doing good for the world. This directly translates to Renewable Energy, where you are doing good for the world, making a meaningful impact and reducing global warming.
I do not have any direct renewable energy experience and my LinkedIn branding, Resume, Networking thus far has all been Product and Technology focused.
Yes, its not going to be an easy road ahead. But I look forward to embracing the challenges and doing whatever it takes to get into Renewable Energy and have a more meaningful and fulfilling career and life.
