I met someone in November at Afrotech; she is a senior UX Designer and has her agency. Since then, I have followed her on Linkedin, both herself and her company.
Earlier this week, her company posted about how they "hired" a UX Design Intern. I commented and congratulated the intern while asking if they also support UX Research Interns. Through this post, I also injected a bit of my personality by ending my comment with "Asking for myself 🙃"
Well, she replied to my comment!!!! 🔥 She wanted to learn more.
Yesterday, I sent her an InMail. I thanked her for taking the time to respond and shared my Personal Podcast. I positioned it like this: you can learn more about me if you have 15 minutes or less (if you speed it up). I would love to chat more about how I can support her company.
Today, she liked my message!
