Universal Resource Sharing 🫴🏻📃
Hi everyone! So with the group continuing to ramp up and the discussions beginning to build - which I am so proud of - it was brought to my attention we should open up a resource sharing page! So here it is! If you've got some things you've created, cards, quests, theme tips, decoration ideas, etc...let's share them all here! I'll continue to add mine into the Loot Chest but would love to see what everyone is creating! Ready...set...share!
Looking for all the info!
I think that this is too much for me to implement this year - may be switching grades for next year. I have been going through all of the info from Scott to try and get myself educated first! What do you all use to host your information? Do you use a specific platform for students to access? I'm so interested in this, but just don't know how to even start!
Game Language Library 📚
Greetings, fellow adventurers! They say that experience is the best teacher, but in the realm of Gamification, shared experience is our greatest weapon. We all walk different paths—one architect might be building a cyberpunk metropolis while another is forging a medieval kingdom—and that diversity is exactly what makes our "Pack" so strong! We are better together. When we pool our creative sparks, we don't just build a classroom; we build a legacy. ⚔️ Your Objective: We are calling on all travelers to contribute to the Master Lexicon. We want to see the DNA of your world! By participating in this side quest, you’ll be sharing: - Your Chosen Theme (The soul of your world) - Your Language Connections (How you translate "The Old Tongue" into "The Heroic Tongue") - Unique Narrative Ideas (The "secret sauce" of your story) 💎 The Reward: As this community grows, so does our Great Library. This collective list will become a massive, open-source treasure map for any teacher looking for inspiration. Whether you’re stuck on what to call "Late Work" or need a name for your "Science Lab," the answers will be waiting for you here. Don't let your brilliant ideas stay hidden in your personal scrolls. Add your voice to the library and help us transform education, one realm at a time! -Master Heebs
Strategies to Manage all the Elements
One of my biggest struggles with gamificatuon is keeping track of all the numbers... the XP, the leaderboard/levels, the health, the resources, the cards etc etc. Right now I'm relying on student honesty and for them to track their own health, money etc, and I'm keeping track of other aspects on a spreadsheet. I would love to hear any strategies you've found that work well for keeping track of everything and any ideas you have on automating it!
