The magic of wet-on-wet
Watercolor Wednesday tip!
Wet-on-wet is one of watercolor's most beautiful (and unpredictable) techniques. Here's how to try it:
1. Wet your paper first with clean water using a large brush.
2. While the paper is still shiny-wet, drop in your paint.
3. Watch it bloom and spread on its own.
The secret? Let go of control. The paint does what it wants — and often, what it does is stunning. Sound like anything else we know about faith?
Check out your Watercolor Basics Course in the classroom. I’ll put the link in the comments.
Now, 2 things for you to do:
  1. Share your wet-on-wet experiments below!
  2. Have questions or want me to demonstrate other techniques? Put them in the comments too! I’m building the Watercolor Basics course based on what you want to learn.
