Welcome to Watercolor & Worship!
I've lost track of who I've welcomed with tags here, so I'm starting fresh with sending this to EVERYONE! My goal is to make daily posts here that help us re-focus our hearts, minds, and spirits on the One who created us. Thank you for being here. Some helpful suggestions: 1. Please head over to this post and introduce yourself: https://www.skool.com/christines-beautiful-life-2340/welcome-introduce-yourself-share-a-pic-of-your-workspace?p=9b26d440 2. Please visit the Classroom and begin the >>>Start Here<<< course so you know how to move around in this community. 3. Check out the different discussion tabs at the top of the community. Need prayer or want to share a thankful note of praise? Share it in Prayer & Praise! Also, I've recently shared something raw and real on my other accounts, so I'll be sharing a prayer request about all of that in a separate post in the Prayer & Praise tab later tonight. I'm grateful to be on this Watercolor & Worship journey with all of you, Christine

Praying God will use it
I want to do something meaningful with what God has given me, no matter how small the talent may be. A little over two years ago, our daughter was killed by her boyfriend. My heart has been shattered in a thousand pieces. However, I have known the love of God in ways I never imagined. He has been so real and present in my life. Journaling my prayers for closure, for healing, and just my need for Jesus; has helped me to begin to heal. I have a friend who lost her son, and crazy thing is... I don't know what to say. I'd like to give her this little journal, so that she might do the same and find the healing and comfort only Jesus can give. I'm praying it is worthy of gifting and that God will use it.

A painting that changed something
Testimony Tuesday! Has a piece of art — yours or someone else's — ever moved you spiritually? Maybe a painting that made you cry, or a watercolor you made during a hard season that became an anchor? Art has a way of saying what words can't. Share a painting that meant something to you — post a photo if you have one! Let's fill this space with beauty and story today. I'll go first: This work of art is from my friend, Erika Masterson, a creative genius. She is a fine art photographer who blends nature and humans in very ethereal pieces. The transparency of the layers reminds me of watercolor.

Be still — a Sabbath invitation
Surrender Sunday Today is a rest day. Not a productivity day. Not a "catch up" day. A rest day. "Be still, and know that I am God." — Psalm 46:10 Notice it doesn't say "be busy for God" or "produce something for God." Just — be still. Know. If you painted today, let it be slow and joyful. If you didn't paint at all, that's holy too. Rest is part of the creative life. What does Sabbath look like for you?

Start before you're ready
Motivational Monday! The canvas doesn't care if you feel inspired. The page doesn't wait for perfect conditions. The most important thing you can do for your creative life is simply — start. "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come." — Proverbs 31:25 You don't need to have it all figured out. Start with one brushstroke. Start with one honest prayer. Start before you feel ready — because readiness is usually just fear in disguise. What are you starting this week? Tell us!
