She trusted the face on the screen. It cost her $900,000.
An 86-year-old woman just went public after losing nearly a million dollars. She didn't do anything "stupid." She saw a video of someone she recognized — someone trustworthy, someone official — telling her about an opportunity. The video was real to her eyes. The voice was right. The face was right. It was all fake. Every pixel of it generated by AI. She found it on Facebook, and by the time anyone realized, the money was gone. I keep thinking about her, because she could be any one of our mothers. And here's what breaks my heart: the people getting hurt most by this aren't the ones "playing" with crypto — they're the ones who never learned how any of it works, so they had no way to spot the lie. This is the part nobody wants to hear: you can't protect yourself, or the people you love, from something you refuse to understand. Fear feels safe. It isn't. Fear is exactly what these scammers count on. So I want to ask you honestly, and I want to hear from everyone 👇 1️⃣ Be truthful — would you have caught it? 2️⃣ Have you, or someone you love, ever been targeted by something like this? 3️⃣ In a world where you can't fully trust your own eyes anymore… how do we teach ourselves and our families to know what's real? Drop your thoughts below. Someone else in this group needs to read what you've been through. 🙏 News Sources: - https://money.ca/news/carney-ai-deepfake-scam - https://www.cp24.com/local/toronto/2026/06/26/ontario-senior-loses-900000-to-crypto-platform-scam-that-used-ai-deepfake-of-pm-carney/ - https://www.ctvnews.ca/toronto/consumer-alert/article/ontario-senior-loses-900000-to-crypto-platform-scam-that-used-ai-deepfake-of-pm-carney/

A believer told me last week that wanting to build wealth isn’t “godly.” It’s been on my mind ever since.
Someone reached out recently and said — kindly — that all this talk of building wealth and digital assets made them uncomfortable. That a real Christian should be content with little and not chase money. I’ve sat with that for days, because I understand it. A lot of us were raised to believe money is dangerous, maybe even a little dirty. That wanting more is a lack of faith. But then I keep coming back to the parable of the talents. The master didn’t praise the servant who played it safe and buried what he was given — he called him wicked and lazy. The ones he honored were the ones who took what they were entrusted with and multiplied it. So which is it? Is wanting to grow what you’ve been given a lack of faith… or is it faithfulness? I really want to hear from you on this one, because I don’t think there’s a lazy answer 👇 ▪️ Were you raised to see money as good, dangerous, or somewhere in between? ▪️ Do you believe God wants us to build wealth — or simply to be content? ▪️ Where’s the line, for you, between good stewardship and just chasing money? No judgment here. Only honest conversation. I’ll be in the comments. 🙏

⚠️ Heads up, Minas fam — 3 exchanges are closing, here's what to do
You may have seen news that three crypto exchanges — BitMEX, BitMart, and AscendEX — are shutting down. This is confirmed, real news (reported by CoinDesk, CNBC, and others). If you have money on any of these platforms, please read this and act soon. Quick refresher: an "exchange" is just the app/website (like BitMEX, BitMart, AscendEX) where you buy, sell, or store your crypto. When an exchange "shuts down," it means that company is closing for good — so any money you left sitting there needs to be moved to somewhere safe before they lock the doors. Here's the deadline for each one: 🔴 BitMEX — Closing completely on September 23, 2026. New signups are already blocked. Take out your money before this date, or you may be charged a monthly fee just for leaving it there. 🟠 BitMart — Trading stops on August 26, 2026, and the platform fully closes on January 31, 2027. Don't wait until the last minute — start your withdrawal now, since they've said some withdrawals may be delayed by extra ID checks. 🔴 AscendEX — most urgent. This one has already shut down (July 1, 2026). Withdrawals are no longer automatic — you have to request one and wait for manual approval, and there's no guarantee on timing or amount. If you have funds here: log in now, submit a withdrawal request, and take screenshots of everything for your records. Now here's the part that matters most: the scams that follow will be worse than the shutdowns. In the next few weeks, expect to see: Messages offering to "help you withdraw faster" for a fee. Real exchanges don't charge you extra to get your own money out. "Support agents" DM-ing you first, asking you to share your seed phrase, password, or connect your wallet to "verify" your account. Fake "replacement" apps or links pretending to be BitMEX, BitMart, or AscendEX. The one rule that keeps you safe: No real exchange will ever ask you to share your seed phrase or private key — not by email, not by chat, not "to speed up your withdrawal." If anyone asks for that, it's a scam. Don't click, don't reply — just delete.
