When I first stepped into classrooms as a researcher, I noticed that the children labelled "difficult" were often the ones trying hardest to tell us something. Their behaviour wasn't a problem to be managed. It was a message.
This community is a place for educators who sense the same thing. Together we explore the Foundational Needs Model, the seven needs that sit beneath every child's behaviour, and what happens in the nervous system when those needs go unmet. You'll find practical ideas for your classroom, gentle reflections for the harder days, and conversations with teachers asking the same questions you are.
What might change if you met each child's behaviour with curiosity rather than correction? There is no single right way here and no pressure to be perfect, just room to slow down, notice, and grow alongside the children in your care.
I'm so glad you've found us.

Understanding what children's behaviour is really asking for, one need at a time.
