Chess takes a lifetime to master, but the path to standing above most players in the world is far shorter than you'd think. I went from a novice to be in the top 10% of players in three months, and the top 1% in just under 2 years. I can't make you a Grand Master, but I can teach you to beat your dad, the local hustlers, and maybe even chase the top 0.2% of chess.com where my own peak rating of 2069 sits.
I want to help you learn chess at your speed, in a way that makes sense to you. I have worked with ages 4-65, taught in dozens of schools, I have played in and organized chess tournaments.

Chess is Life has been a great course, and Kellen is an excellent instructor who makes things very easy to understand. The lessons are engaging, informative, and easy to follow. I’ve really enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to anyone looking to improve their chess game!
