Club championship circuit update
Hello fellow chess people today I played in my chess club's ladder competition to fight for my 3rd championship point, the 1st and 2nd ranked player's weren't at the club today so I was the highest ranked player in 3rd place 2 people challenge me to ladder matches and I got the black pieces both times because the lower ranked player can pick the colour in a ladder Game,
But cut to the chase in my first game my opponent played a London system with a early h3 I chose to play the c5 line their was a lot of pressure from my opponent in the opening but I defended well enough later in the opening my opponent attacked my queen by playing his A rook to C1 but blunderd his knight in the process, he kept on playing despite that and made it difficult for me to convert but eventually I did.
In my second game my opponent kicked of with E4 and I chose to deploy the caro kann and my opponent played a exchange variation, in the middle game she made two big mistakes and I managed to take advantage after a couple minutes of thinking and won this game as well
So today I managed to get my 3rd championship point and I'm currently 1st in the championship circuit
