Where are you at right now, where would you like to be, and what would you like to use this group for? Hello everybody! I’m Sharbel, 24 years old. I finished my Bachelor’s studies in Cognitive Science and Psychology about a year ago, and around a year and a half ago I discovered the world of NLP and hypnosis. I’ve been studying them pretty obsessively ever since Along the way, I’ve explored a bunch of different changework modalities and approaches to hypnosis and NLP, including Three Principles, Psychological Illusion Model, Emergent New Code NLP, Client-Centered/Client Shifts work, and many others. I’ve done quite a few trainings — mostly online, both live and recorded — as well as an in-person training in Portugal in Emergent New Code NLP with John Grinder, Michael Carroll, and Carmen Bostic St. Clair. I also completed the Psychological Illusion Model training with Jørgen Rasmussen, and quite a bit of live and recorded work with James Tripp, including his Client Shifts Changework Academy, which I’m really enjoying. I’ve also read a bunch of books and explored work from people like Melissa Tiers, John Overdurf, Damon Cart, Steve Andreas, and others. I played around with Steve Andreas' Self-Concept Model, and I also did some training with the late Australian hypnotherapist Rob McNeilly. So at this point, I’ve learned quite a lot and explored many different approaches. Each one has added something different to my understanding of changework. But there’s a pretty big gap in my development right now: practice. I’ve spent a lot of time learning, studying, thinking, and exploring different models, but I haven't done nearly enough actual work with people. So that's a big part of why I created this community and why I'm here. I want to use this space to practice, experiment, and get better — trying different approaches, methods, processes, language patterns, and ways of working with people. I also want to get more experience: - Working with clients - Giving and receiving sessions - Experimenting with different changework approaches - Getting feedback and learning from other practitioners - Working with groups - Leading workshops - Presenting and teaching - Developing my own way of working - And eventually building a paid remote changework practice
