Christmas can be a joyful time, and it can also quietly activate stress in the body. Even when everything looks fine on the outside, the nervous system may be holding tension through tight jaws, lifted shoulders or shallow breathing.

Somatic practices work by helping the body feel safe. When the body settles, the mind naturally follows. These gentle exercises can be used anywhere, at the kitchen table, before family gatherings or at the end of the day.
