A little late but God brought me into Virginia. My friend picks me up and we go to dinner. We go home to drop down our bags and he suggest we go on a prayer walk. Praying in tongues for the neighborhood. A guy few streets down says, “Hey guys, have a wonderful evening.” Nearly 11 pm at the hour, my friend out of nowhere says, Let’s pray for him! We ask him if we can pray for him. He’s says, absolutely. As we pray for him and finish, encouraging him. He tells us that morning he was asking God for a sign, his brother just passed away 2 weeks ago on the 18th and the house needed to get taken care of. So I'm inviting my friend to this highschool ministry thing where we play some games and then hear a message on Friday and he said he probably can go. Pray that things go well and that my friend(Ryan) heart will be softened and that he will have a curiosity for God and that he will continue to come to hear Gods word and come to faith.

As I’m walking down the street of New York, arms hurting from carrying 20 pounds of old books, clothes and unused items. The only thought that crosses my mind is when does the suffering end. Now imagine for a second, that instead of 20 pounds of books, clothes and used items it was beliefs, thoughts and habits formed from past experiences. Hurtful words spoken, hurtful experiences that shifted a persons entire life. Instead of letting those things go days, weeks, months, years, even decades go by as they are continued to be held on to. Carrying an invisible weight that prevents you from moving forward in life. The world teaches to numb that pain, to pretend it didn’t happen, hide it, and ghost it. What if the answer wasn’t to carry it any longer…. What about doing the opposite and surrender it, dropping it at the feet of someone who can carry that weight for you. His name is Jesus and he came to help carry your pain, shame, guilt, doubt, uncertainty, and fear. All he ask is laying it at his feet, all your anxieties, fears, addictions. In exchange he’s here to give you life, freedom, peace and joy. Because in Him you are made a new creation. The old is gone and new is here. You don’t have to be stuck in who you were. You get to step into who He’s calling you to be. And the moment i dropped off donations today, I was set free.
