Happy Monday, Care Leaders
We’ve just added a new free guide to the Care Leaders Hub:
Daily Care Notes – A Practical Guide for Care Staff
This one has come from a really useful conversation in the community around helping carers complete clear, accurate and person-centred daily notes without unnecessary paperwork taking them away from the people they support.
The guide includes practical tips on:
- what good daily notes should include
- recording facts rather than assumptions
- capturing the person’s voice, choices and independence
- recording changes, actions and outcomes
- finding time to complete notes during a busy shift
- refusals, consent and capacity
- safeguarding and medication records
- confidentiality and secure recording
- examples of turning basic notes into more useful ones
We’ve tried to keep it practical and easy to use, so it could work well for team discussions, supervision, induction or refresher training as well as something staff can refer back to.
You’ll find it in the Free Guides section.
As always, if there’s a particular challenge you’re dealing with in your service, feel free to share it here, it helps us make sure the resources we create are genuinely useful.
