Going back to work isn't always a straight path.
Finding a job isn't always a linear path. It would be must easier if the process was apply, interview, accept, start. But the reality is that things get in the way and that's part of it.
The trick is to not make it mean anything about you, your worth, your value, or your ability.
Here's what you can do when there is a roadblock that feels like a punch to the gut:
Acknowledge that it sucks and feel the discomfort
💛Figure out what the actual problem was
💛If it's something you can fix then fix it
💛If it's not something you can fix, then let it go
💛Pick yourself up and go again
You will get to the finish line - which in this case is a job offer. It just might take a little longer than you think it should and that's ok.
What are your biggest obstacles going back to work?
