Salut la gang!
Mon nom est Graham. J'ai déménagé ici au Quebec l'été dernier et j'ai commencé à apprendre le francais à l'automne! So far learning french has been going pretty good, and I feel confident enough in scripted scenarios (like ordering at restaurants or talking to the folks at hotels) but as soon as I start to have a "real" conversation it all falls apart aha My summer is crazy busy, but hoping to be able to join some of the group calls and start working on through some of these courses!
Hey! I’m new to the group.
I’m from a bilingual area of Northern Ontario. I work in a large work place where a lot of people speak Quebec French, and I would love to be able to speak to everyone in their native tongue. My wife and I travelled to Quebec City for our honeymoon, and I realized that it’s time for me to learn! Looking forward to these lessons 🇹🇩
Francisation drop-out :)
Bonjour tout le monde! Je suis Andrea. I'm a piano teacher in MontrĂ©al, I moved here a few years ago from BC. I did a few levels of the Francisation program when I first got here, but I didn't keep up with practicing sooooo I've regressed to square 1 (maybe square 2). Hoping to improve my ear and learn some expressions, and maybe even teach some music lessons en français in the future! đŸ€žđŸ€ž

Salut tout le monde!
I grew up in a Franco-Ontarian community. Having recently retired, I now have the time and motivation to learn to speak QuĂ©bĂ©cois fluently. My partner is very French and we love to play Pickleball. À la santĂ© de notre parcours d'apprentissage !
Salut!
I look forward to these classes. I have spent the last two years exploring the world of 17th-century Quebec. I am taking my second trip there in August to research and continue writing my novel. I'll be traveling to towns where my great-grandparents and their great-grandparents lived. I spent some time in Quebec and Tadoussac last summer, and I couldn't use any of my French. I am out of practice and insecure about my accent. I relied on the graciousness of the people I encountered and spoke only English. I'd like this summer's trip to be different. I want to speak French like the Québécois.
