“Moi, Je…” vs, “Je”
I’ve noticed that when you’re starting a sentence about yourself, you often put “Moi, Je…”. To my English mind, it doesn’t feel natural since it’s saying “me, I” but I’ve seen it in other French stuff so I know that I need to start incorporating it to improve. Can you explain in what contexts to say “moi” instead of just “je”
Ê in Être
Pronouncing Ê in "être" as like "ai" is so weird to me 😆
«Mon nom est»
De temps en temps, j'entends «Mon nom est...» au lieu de «Je m'appelle...» Je sais que c'est un traduction direct de «My name is», mais c'est aussi un différence de formalité?
question about pronouncing "suis"
Hi! I hear in the anki deck that in "je suis etudiante", the final "s" of "suis" is not pronounced, but in "je suis une personne", it is pronounced. Is there some rule about when to pronounce ths last letter? How to say "je suis americaine" - pronounce the final "s" or not? Thanks!!
