I’m Cameron Hilaker, I’m a former USAID emergency manager in DC. I’m (hopefully) applying for canadian citizenship under the C-3 Bill, I’m waiting on a Québec baptism record of my great grandfather.
My mom’s family all came from Québec and I want to learn Québec french and get closer to my roots! There is a funny story where they only spoke french in my granddad’s house, and on the first day of primary school, he ran home in tears saying “They only speak English!”.
Hoping to practice my speaking and get much better at my French here!
