Nutrition made Simple
The goals isn't to just eat less or take out the food we love. The goal is to eat in a calorie deficit while you eat the food that you love. We don't take the food out completely; we find a way to make it with our goals in mind.
For instance, I love Oreos, but I don't eat Oreos every night. I found a way to make a protein Oreo shake I love to have before bed that fills the last 30 grams of protein I need for the day.
The Goal is to hit those macros.
I know some people leave room for what they like by eating less during the day. The #1 thing you must do when you're in a calorie deficit is hit your protein first so that you keep as much lean muscle mass as possible while you lose fat.
#2. Do Heavy resistance training. For a few reasons, you'll burn more calories, and then you'll be able to keep more muscle. Also, helping future weight management.
#3. Get 8,000-10,000 steps a day.
