My firehouse pumping set up ๐Ÿผ ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿš’
This is where I pump, how I store my milk, and how I travel with my milk between stations or between home and work!
I live an hour away from my home station and can travel up to 2 hours between stations!
I worked with my HR & Risk Management department to receive these โ€œreasonable accommodationsโ€ at work.
As a firefighter, I donโ€™t get breaks or rest periods. I find time for pumping and hope for the best. I have been very diligent about setting a timer and finding time to get at least partial pump sessions in between calls. I am legally allowed to take the fire engine out of service to complete a pump if needed, but I have not had to do that (I donโ€™t really want to).
My current assigned station has an open dorm room and a shared bathroom (other stations have private rooms/bathrooms). I am able to comfortably find privacy in my dorm room to pump.
Some of the items I requested as part of my โ€œreasonable accommodationโ€ include:
โœ…Mini fridge
โŒCooler
โŒReusable ice blocks
โŒPortable power bank with 110 outlet
โŒInsulated thermos
โœ…Pump sanitizing wipes
โŒSilicone Storage bags
I received the items marked with the check. I purchased the other items myself.

What did I miss?? What does your pumping set up at work look like??
