Background: I made a decision to attend the 2026 Asia Pacific Conference in China based on their
AI and technology program.
There has been a development in the discussion topics at Conferences
The clearest new development is that technology and artificial intelligence have moved from a smaller innovation topic into a major conference pillar.\
In 2024, “Technology and aging” asked how digitalization and AI could help societies adapt to aging, while also asking how older people can be included as users and co-designers of digital systems
In 2026, this has become a full sub-theme: Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Population Aging, covering digital inclusion, AI for healthy aging, emerging technologies for care and independent living, technology for older workers, ethics, governance, privacy, rights, and accessibility.
