Let's Discuss: The "Threat" of AI
I know it's become a popular narrative to say things like "AI isn't going anywhere," or "AI won't replace people, but those who don't learn AI will be left behind." So, how much of this terrifying boogie man is actually going to affect creatives? How quickly is AI learning and able to replicate true human expressions and deliver powerful performances? Will human voice actors actually be replaced? Is Tilly Norwood the "future" of acting? The answer might shock those who champion the "New World" of AI dominance, and will probably bring a bit of relief to those who worry about the impact. I've been a voice actor for over 17 years. I've seen a lot of trends and "scary" things happen. Technology that made it easier for markets to be saturated, the undermining of the old model, shifts in payment structure, and the rise of home studios. Join me, Saturday, December 27th, at 9:00am (PST) on Google Meet for a free virtual meeting, where we'll discuss "The Threat of AI."
