The AI is not “wrong” as often as we think. Sometimes we just did not give it the right inputs yet. Yesterday, I was building out my online portfolio site and the first result was not it. It was too corporate, the hero section was off, and it did not match the vision I had in my head. So today I changed the process. Instead of giving the tool one PDF and hoping it understood the whole story, I combined multiple PDFs into one stronger visual brief. I gave it more context, more examples, more direction, and then used Claude as my co-pilot to clean up the prompt and help me art direct the next version. And wow. Huge difference. The site went from “this is not right” to “okay, now this is fun.” A few takeaways from the Live: 1. Better inputs create better outputs. 2. If the result is off, look at what you gave it first. 3. Screenshots are powerful. 4. When something looks wrong, screenshot it, mark it up, and show the AI exactly what needs to change. 5. Do not ask it to rebuild the whole thing unless you mean it. 6. When you are improving an existing build, tell it clearly that the new prompt is an add-on or update, not a full rebuild. 7. Use AI as your assistant, not your replacement. 8. Claude, Gemini, Base44, Bolt, and the Vault can help you move faster, but your taste, vision, and judgment still matter. 9. Make room for exploration. 10. Sometimes the breakthrough comes from testing, refining, and letting the tools cook while you keep moving. This is what I love about vibe coding. It can take something that would have stayed stuck for months and turn it into a working concept in minutes. Not perfect. Not finished. But finally moving. Your action step: If your AI-built site, app, or page is not listening to you, do not just keep yelling the same prompt at it. Give it better context. Combine your assets. Show it visuals. Point out what is wrong. Ask for a specific fix. Then bring your own creative direction back into the process. That is how you make the build feel like yours.
