This chapter was primarily about making it a priority to pay yourself first. However, I understood this on a deeper level. This principle is applicable to other parts of life besides money. Give yourself time. Attention. Self care, health etc. Give yourself these things before you give them to others. The point. Take care of yourself FIRST.

You succeed at what you strive to succeed at. So if you strive to be a laborer, you will succeed at being a laborer. And if you strive to be wealthy, you will be wealthy. “In those things in which we exerted our best endeavors, we succeeded”. This is similiar to saying you can succeed At whatever you put your mind to. It’s just that most people put their mind on the things that don’t create wealth.

Hello Everyone! Yesterday was the Official kickoff to our book club. Everyone should have The Richest Man in Babylon by now. The timeline for completion is 3 weeks from today, August 23. Please allow yourself 30 mins to a hour a night to lock in. And also please post your thoughts on what you're learning through written and even video posts, if you care to. Hello Everyone! The Official start date for our first book is August 1. That's 11 days away for everyone to obtain the book via purchase or outlets like YouTube (free), Audiobooks, etc. We will have a forum where we can share the information we find impactful, interesting, and maybe even life changing. The book is The Richest Man in Babylon. I chose this as the 1st book because financial literacy is a MUST for every human being, damn near. And this book is one of the top selling books of all time on the subject. The core lessons you can learn from this book will be the first steps in you making it out of the rat race!
