Do your systems evaluate certainty first…or do they just run and hope for the best?
typical workflow:
Lead comes in → AI analyzes → message sent.
Looks efficient.
Until:
• The lead wasn’t a good fit
• The AI misunderstood context
• The message goes to the wrong person
Now sales is cleaning up mistakes.
A stronger system flips the order.
Lead comes in → AI evaluates → confidence score → decision.
Example:
• Confidence > 80% → automate
• 50–80% → ask clarifying question
• < 50% → human review
Automation should not ask“Can this be automated?”
It should ask“When is it safe to automate?”
That single design choice is the difference between:
Automation that saves attention and automation that creates cleanup work.
Curious how others design this.?
