First time being able to get out in a while.
Monday and Tuesday practice this week.
Worked on creating combos and trying to finish strong although you can see my mind trying to put the pieces together in real time. I’m truly fascinated by the creativity and puzzle piece aspect.
I have also returned to pull-ups for my new shoulder exercises.
Monday:
-questioned how many exits I can do from my sweep and how momentum has s connected to my natural inkling to capoeira exits from footwork.
- Halo freeze is getting… easier? I still need a larger base for my arms probably. I’m able to do it on both sides, and my weaker shoulder is adjusting, while laying off if I feel any pain (in the back and front)
- Chair cartwheels!
Tuesday: (a little slower today due to the heat)
-continued on combo and idea connecting.
-more Halo attempts.
-started to drill a new go down
Chair/head cartwheels!
-already sketching ideas of how to enter the Halo freeze.
-remembering that my footwork style fits best if I elongate and exaggerate everything do to my long limbs…
-original footwork transition/direction change (reverse cc-buttspin) drilled on both sides. I notice any good battler has favourite “reset” moves that gets them back on track, this simultaneously adds to their signature style.
