I've always been fond of Manifestos, and I even collected them for awhile. For some people a manifesto might sound like something a politician or a tech bro writes and nobody reads, but it is really a short, bold statement of what you believe, and how you do business. And it can be a great marketing tool. Why bother? 1️⃣ It’s your decision filter. Shiny new idea, tool, or “must-have” offer? Check it against your manifesto. If it doesn’t fit, let the squirrel run by. 🐿️ 2️⃣ It attracts your people and repels the rest. Say what you stand for and the right customers raise their hands. The wrong ones move along, which saves you time. 3️⃣ It keeps you going when things get hard or boring. Your why, in writing, for the days you’d rather quit. 4️⃣ It gives you your voice. Loosely Inspired by the Manifesto Manifesto by Kim Mok Today, we start a business. Today, our second sentence reuses the first word, because bootstrappers use what they’ve got. We spend a little. Then less. Then we write a really, really long list of everything we do not need yet, like the logo, the fancy software, the $2,000 course, the 40-page business plan, the matching branded tote bags, and the website with seventeen tabs, and we cross off every item until all that’s left is One. Paying. Customer. Then we make our point even clearer Without the guru. Without the gatekeeping. Without the judgment. And then we have one more really long sentence that builds up excitement for our big idea, which is that whether you bake, build, coach, code, crochet, or clean, you can price your work, track your cash, shush the voice saying you’re not ready, ask the “dumb” questions, and get paid on your own terms, powered by nothing but grit, a supportive crew, a little woo woo, and the discipline to ignore every single Squirrel. 💜☮️💰 Love, Peace, Prosperity

Get real advice before you copy what a video told you to do. 4️⃣ Set up your money from day one. Open a separate business account, track income and expenses, save your receipts, and start setting aside money for taxes. 🙅 Guru myth: Sort out the money stuff once you’re making sales. 😎 Rebel reality: Habits are easier to build now than to untangle later. 5️⃣ Find your first customers. Go where your people already hang out, talk to them, ask for referrals, and tap the connections you already have. 🙅 Guru myth: You need a big following and an ad budget. 😎 Rebel reality: Your first customers usually come from real conversations, not ads. 6️⃣ Start before it’s perfect. Start with the essentials, see what works, and adjust. 🙅 Guru myth: Wait until you feel ready. 😎 Rebel reality: You’ll learn more from doing than from planning.
