Hi, I'm Gary
I was born and raised in San Diego and have been in Tokyo for the last 24 years. I’m a recruiter and career coach. Companies pay me to recruit talented bilingual advertising and marketing professionals and individuals pay me to coach them for career growth.
My number one business challenge is to grow www.happymondays.cc my newly-launched online and offline community for ambitious and motivated bilingual professionals in Japan who are committed to career growth.
Making it work is a big hairy audacious goal and it’s both frightening and exiting at the same time. It matters to me as my mission is to help people find work they love and the tech platform I’m currently using (Podia) allows me to serve more people. Skool looks cool too and I'd like to learn more about it.
I bought Booking Big Fish after seeing Jordan’s video ad in my Facebook feed and I’m super happy that I did it. I suck at being on camera and making videos and can use all the help and encouragement I can get. I know it can be a great tool for driving traffic to my website and ultimately converting new customers, but it feels like a huge hurdle.
For fun I like hanging out at the beach, going to concerts, dining out in the world’s greatest food city (Tokyo!), and talking with people about their careers—it really is fun. Here’s a photo taken from one of my workspaces, my apartment at the beach in Onjuku, Chiba.
