THE BOOK BOSS PROFIT FORMULA!

I wrote a post setting out all of the steps to the Book Boss Profit Formula. I would love to get this turned into a large roadmap so that we can all plot our positions on the roadmap!

In the meantime here's all the steps laid out for you - STEP BY STEP!

It's SO EXCITING to see it all set out like this! Well....... it's exciting for me anyways! 😂

STEP ONE

Write out 10-20 topics that you are personally really interested in. Passionate about. Hobbies. Passions. Interests. ANYTHING! It can be romance novels, batch cooking, dog training, debt management, crystals, plant based meals, pebble painting, sudoku, tantric yoga, japanese food, shadow healing, herbal tea brewing, bonsai trees, car maintenance. have fun with this task and use Chat GPT to help you to come up with the things that really interest you. Look through your YouTube browser history look on your bookshelf, look through the movies and tv programs that you watch.

Create two Amazon accounts - (NOT KDP accounts - I mean amazon accounts) - you will use one account for your amazon shopping and for leaving book reviews and supporting other publishers and you will use the other account for your Amazon KDP book publishing.

STEP TWO

Write down any CURRENT TRENDS you are aware of relating to the above and write those down next to your interests and ideas. You will just know through your intuition what is currently trending - such as cooking with Air Fryers and Adult Colouring books but you can also ask Chat GPT what is currently trending in certain niches and you can visit the bestseller books lists on Amazon too to see what is currently trending - such as using herbs for medicines and Autism/ADHD acceptance etc etc.

STEP THREE

Now you are going to search amazon books for your areas of interest and bear the trends in mind in an incognito browser search window (so that your own browsing cookies do not affect your search.) You are going to try to look for a gap in the market or an area where there are not a ton of similar books. We use free software (called Kip Scout) and paid software (Book Beam) to help us with this search here inside The Book Boss Academy.

STEP FOUR

Write down any gaps and areas where you would be able to add value to the market. Decide which area you would like to write your first book and give it a clear simple title. You title MUST MATCH the words that your ideal customer would be searching for in the Amazon Books search bar. This is critical. If your book title does not match what words or phrase your ideal customer would be searching for then you will not make organic book sales until your book is very very popular! And we dont want that! There is a lot more bonus training on this here inside the Academy as this has been an area in which people were struggling with.

STEP FIVE

Create your gorgeous magnetic irresistible book cover! You can create this yourself using Canva and by following one of the trainings here inside Book Boss OR you can instruct someone in Fiverr or 99 Designs etc to do this for you. The quality of your book cover is CRUCIAL! Nobody wants to buy a book with a rubbish cover! Very important! We will have lots more trainings and templates on this in the coming months.

STEP SIX

Use AI Tools such as Chat GPT combined together with your competitors book contents lists to help you to create a unique and desirable DETAILED BOOK OUTLINE. Your book outline should be unique and original compared with the other books in your category.

STEP SEVEN

Use AI tools such as Chat GPT etc to help you create your FIRST DRAFT of your book. This is really a much much longer and much more detailed book outline. Use AI to add as much detail as possible to each chapter.

STEP EIGHT

Skim read through your book outline to ensure you are happy with it and now add your human flair to your book. Go through each chapter making it human. Adding your voice and your sense of humour. Add stories and relate each chapter back to previous chapters and learnings (because this is the part AI is not very good at doing!)

STEP NINE

Check your book, proof read your book. Put it all through a spellchecker, a fact checker and a plaigarism checker. The training for all of this is here inside our Book Camp training videos.

STEP TEN

Now format and download your book using a tool called Reedsy.

STEP ELEVEN

Now its time to publish your book! Set up your Amazon KDP account, add in your identity and tax and bank details and upload your first book making sure you work hard on making your book description irresistible and adding in the main searchable keywords and categories.

STEP TWELVE - FIND YOUR PERSONAL TALENT

AND THIS IS WHERE IT GETS CLEVER!

You are going to rinse and repeat all of the above steps AT LEAST TEN TIMES!!! Maybe even 20 times - even better! Or 30!!

You see..... we want to find out which area and which niche we are actually really GOOD AT creating books in! Sally might be GREAT at cookery books whereas David might be great at fantasy fiction and Sandra might find that she is having incredible results creating childrens colouring books! Everyone is going to be different and will have a better talent in a totally different (and often unexpected area!)

Over the weeks and the months as you continue to publish your books, some books will start to make sales and usually, one or two of them will POP OFF! - Just like Reels on Instagram! You publish 20 Reels and 1 or 2 of them will POP! It's exactly the same thing!

After you have started to get book sales and you are running out of book ideas to publish (and yes your books can totally be fiction books too!) this is when you are going to use more AI TOOLS to assess the best way forward for you and your publishing business!

Step twelve is to run all of your monthly sales figures and stats and book titles and your sales performance through an AI tool called Manus and you can of course look at your data yourself too and you are going to assess what direction to take your book publishing business at this point!

erhaps your two cooking books out-performed all your other books!

Perhaps your romance fiction novels did really well!

Maybe it was your business books!

Maybe it was your planners or your wordsearch books!

Some books will not sell at all. Some books will sell a little and some book will pop off!

Then you can assess HOW you can work to DOMINATE THE MARKET in your chosen field!

Perhaps you will write a whole entire book series on Anxiety for Teenagers! Each book cover might match the others and each book will have a different topic for teenage girls - anxiety, self esteem, confidence, fear, emotions. etc etc - and they will all match each other!

STEP THIRTEEN

This is where you repeat the above process but where you build your MARKET DOMINATING BOOK SERIES!

At this point you are already good at selling that book in that niche and so any other books you choose to publish alongside it as a series will be INCREDIBLE for your sales!

You see..............when you publish a whole book series...........often people who like one of your books will be shows the whole series on Amazon and they will want to purchase more books in that series too! They will have confidence in your other books if they enjoyed the first one!

STEP FOURTEEN

Build a brand around your books! Become an outstanding global authority in that one niche by building your brand around your wildly successful book series!

Get some PR - book yourself lots of interviews - Podcasts, TV, Magazine and articles!

Often..................people try to do this the wrong way around. They try to build a brand and THEN they write ONE BOOK and it doesn't sell and so they end up stuck and not being able to make money from book publishing!

But WE are flipping the whole thing on its head and we START by finding the right book niche for us!

We start by discovering our TALENT!

The really great thing about this is that you can just keep on going with this journey and you can keep on publishing books and building up recurring monthly royalties in your specialist field!

Eventually...........you will be able to sell your Amazon Account (lots of people do this and they sell their account for 6 and 7 figures because it it generating a guaranteed monthly income!) if you want the capital out of your account....perhaps you wish to purchase property or retire early!
