Hey Everyone,
My name is Brenton Riling. I have been working in the Payroll/HR Tech space for 15 years. From support implementation, sales, and now moving into product development.
I got sick of wasting productive hours at my cushy sales job on videos games, so awhile back I started a company called Appalachia Digital. We are digital growth agency who specialize in making local service area businesses a lot of money. I also started the Reformed Business Alliance. This is an online directory where confessionally christian reformed business owners can list their company to add valuable backlinks to their website + connect with new customers who share their values. I have two amazing kids (2 and 4 years old).
The biggest tension I feel between work and fatherhood is shutting off my somewhat workaholic drive to spend time with my family without constantly thinking about work. I have found a degree of success here, but it's an ongoing challenge I need to be mindful of.
Sometimes I wish I had the remote from the movie "Click" just so I could pause time, get caught up, sleep for like 12 hours, then hit play again. lol.
