I looked for about an hour on ABnB and AirdDNA this morning and the best I could find was a 130% cash on cash, 2 properties that barely make 2x the rent. Is anybody having better luck in certain east coast cities?

Hi everyone! Looking to scout out properties in Dallas, but know that’s a city where STR licenses are needed. There was a temporary injection on all pending STR cases, so would I need to look at properties that already have an STR in place ideally? Also, when it comes to taxes, do I need to register for the State and Dallas Hotel Occupancy Tax with Texas comptroller (my LLC is based in Texas)? I’m filling out my Franchise Tax Questionnaire and it’s asking for permits and tax accounts (where I would put hotel occupancy tax) and a NAICS code to associate my primary business operations. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys!! Is there anyone from Canada here, doing this successfully? I am in Toronto and the bylaws says it not legal to do this in Toronto atleast. Trying to see how you guys are navigating this or are you able to run this successfully in other provinces/ or doing this out of Canada? Would love to hear some feedback! Cheers!
