STR License and Hotel Occupancy Tax
Hi everyone! Looking to scout out properties in Dallas, but know that’s a city where STR licenses are needed. There was a temporary injection on all pending STR cases, so would I need to look at properties that already have an STR in place ideally? Also, when it comes to taxes, do I need to register for the State and Dallas Hotel Occupancy Tax with Texas comptroller (my LLC is based in Texas)? I’m filling out my Franchise Tax Questionnaire and it’s asking for permits and tax accounts (where I would put hotel occupancy tax) and a NAICS code to associate my primary business operations. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.
