  • Sankofa, which calls us to reach back โ€” to reclaim the wisdom of our past so we can write forward with clarity and purpose.

๐ŸŒปMy name is Alice Walker, yes just like the other "Alice Walker." ๐Ÿฅฐ.
๐Ÿš—Location: Mississippi.
๐Ÿ˜ƒWhat I write: I never allow myself to be confined to one genre. I write what speaks to my soul.
โœ๏ธWhat writing means to me: Writing for me means a way to share a part of me with the world, but also a way for me to escape the noise of the world.
๐ŸŒA story from my past: I think growing up in the deep south during Jim Crow and having the opportunity to travel were what most influenced my voice.
๐Ÿ“šMy dream writing project: My dream project is a series of children series that will connect children in the diaspora to the motherland.
Can't wait to met you!
