7 Day Music Business Challenge — Day 1
We’re doing something different this week. 7 days. 7 actions. One complete music business audit. No overwhelm. One thing per day. By Day 7 you’ll know exactly where your money is going and what to fix first. DAY 1 ACTION: Go to the Free Starter Vault in the Classroom. Download the Revenue Stack Scorecard. Score yourself honestly on all 8 revenue streams. Then come back here and post your score with the hashtag #DayOneScore. Example: #DayOneScore — 2 out of 8 No judgment. Your score is just your starting point. I’ll respond to every single score personally with your next priority. Drop it below. Let’s see where we’re starting from.
7 Day Music Business Challenge — Day 7 — You Did The Work
Day 7. Last one. DAY 7 ACTION: Post your before and after. Tell us: — What was your Day 1 score? — What streams are you now registered for that you weren’t before? — What’s the biggest thing you learned this week? — What’s the one thing you’re still not sure about? Use the hashtag #Week1Done I’m going to personally respond to every single before and after posted in this thread. Here’s what I want you to know: You just did in 7 days what most independent artists never do in their entire career. That’s not an exaggeration. The majority of artists releasing music right now are not registered with The MLC. Not registered with SoundExchange. Not using split sheets. Not checking their metadata. You are now ahead of most of them. But this is just the foundation. The Artist Asset Workshop goes 10x deeper on every single topic we covered this week. Masters ownership. Publishing deals. Contract negotiation. Digital products. Merch. Building recurring income from your music. If you’re ready to go deeper — upgrade to Premium. If you have questions before you upgrade — DM me directly. Either way — you showed up every day this week. That matters. Welcome to the next level.

7 Day Music Business Challenge — Day 6
Day 6. This is the one most artists skip entirely. DAY 6 ACTION: Go to copyright.gov. Register at least one song today. Your most streamed song, your most recent release, or the one you’re most proud of. Copyright registration is your legal foundation. Without it you can’t enforce your ownership in court. You technically own your music the moment you create it — but registration gives you the power to protect it. Cost: $45 per song or $85 for a collection of songs. Yes it costs money. It’s worth every dollar. Post below: REGISTERED ✅ — [song title] Tomorrow is Day 7. The final step and the most important reflection of the whole challenge. You’ve done more for your music business this week than most artists do in a year.

7 Day Music Business Challenge — Day 5
Day 5. This one surprises people every time. DAY 5 ACTION: Go to your distributor dashboard right now. Check your top 3 songs for these 5 things: 1. Is the song title spelled correctly? 2. Are all featuring artists credited properly? 3. Is your ISRC code showing for each song? 4. Is your songwriter credit accurate? 5. Is your publisher information listed? Wrong metadata means royalties go to the wrong place or nowhere at all. Most artists have at least one error they’ve never noticed. Post what you found below. One fix today could mean money you’ve been missing for months. Day 6 tomorrow — we’re making your music legally protected.

7 Day Music Business Challenge — Day 4
Day 4. This one is urgent. DAY 4 ACTION: Pull out your last 3 collaborations — features, producer beats, co-writes. For each one ask yourself: Do I have a signed split sheet? If the answer is no — download the Split Sheet Template from the Free Starter Vault right now. Fill it out. Send it to your collaborator today. No split sheet means no proof of ownership. No proof of ownership means no royalties if there’s ever a dispute. This is the most skipped step in independent music. Don’t skip it. Post below: How many of your collabs have signed split sheets right now? Be honest. This is a safe space. Day 5 tomorrow — we’re checking your metadata.
