💰 Here’s your September reminder: Q4 expenses are about to hit differently.
October brings us into the final quarter of the year — and for many households that means holidays, travel, higher seasonal spending and year-end expenses. Before adding MORE to the budget, take a look at what’s already coming out. This week, check: 📱 Your wireless and internet bills 💡 Your electricity or natural gas plan 📺 Subscriptions and recurring services 💳 Any household expense you haven’t reviewed in the last 6–12 months You don’t have to cancel everything or live on a bare-bones budget. 💳 BUSINESS OWNERS: Your processing fees deserve a Q4 checkup too.
We pay close attention to sales coming into the business, but how often do we review what it costs to actually collect that money? Before Q4 begins, pull out a recent merchant processing statement and look at: 💰 Your effective processing cost — Compare your total processing charges with the amount you processed, not just the advertised rate. 🧾 Monthly and miscellaneous fees — Look for statement, equipment, PCI, gateway or other recurring charges you may not immediately notice. 📈 What changed — Compare a current statement with one from earlier this year. Your sales volume, transaction mix or fees may have changed. This is exactly why I created the Business Sweep™. Sometimes growing your bottom line starts with understanding the expenses already attached to doing business. 👉🏾 Want another set of eyes on your recurring business services before Q4? 🍂 September is here… which means Q4 is almost here too.
Before the year starts moving even faster, this is a good time to look at what needs to be cleaned up, reviewed, reduced, or repositioned before the final quarter. A few things to check now: ✅ Student Loans — Are you on the right repayment path? Are you tracking forgiveness progress? Do you understand the recent changes that may affect you? ✅ Household Expenses — When was the last time you reviewed your electricity, natural gas, wireless, internet, security, or other recurring services? ✅ Business Expenses — Are there areas where your business may be overspending on merchant services, payroll, internet, energy, wireless, or other recurring costs? ✅ Healthcare Costs — Have you reviewed what you’re paying for coverage and whether there may be other options worth considering? ✅ Year-End Planning — Are your current expenses supporting your goals, or are they quietly eating into what you could be saving, investing, or using to grow? That’s a big part of what I help people do through Bills to Bags™ — take a closer look at what’s already going out so you can make more intentional decisions about what stays in. September is a great month to review it BEFORE Q4 gets here. 📌 Need help figuring out where to start? • Student Loans → Schedule a Discovery Call • Residential or Business Expenses → Request a FREE Services Analysis • Healthcare → Explore alternatives before annual enrollment • Gas and Electric → Let’s review your current options and see what may be available Don’t wait until December to start looking at what could have been addressed in September.
